| Induction Speech: If you had told me back in 2004 after I tore the rotator cuff of my throwing shoulder that I'd be in the Hall of Shame three years later I wouldn't have believed you. I mean I barely can throw a football anymore and the whole league, less the Jets God bless their hearts, seems to know it, but here I am, still starting at QB in the NFL. As far as the games that got me here go, well what can I say, the ball I threw off my back foot into double coverage against the Giants when we were up 3 in the 4th quarter really did seem like a good idea at the time. The pick six I threw on the next series was nothing more than an attempt to get that one back. Heck, I was trying. The Eagles game wasn't totally my fault. Yea I only threw for 128 yards, but I only had one pick!! Now I know some of you might be pissed that I didn't pick up the first down on 3rd and inches inside the Eagles 5 with 3 minutes to go. Maybe I shouldn't have been such a pussy on that QB sneak, but you have to admit the fade pass I threw on the subsequent 4th down did come pretty darn close to being caught. Thanks once again for bestowing this honor upon me. | ||||||
